Unfortunately I can only award one star. On Sunday at noon, I expect fresh dumplings, unfortunately they weren't, the price is too expensive, for the most part the main courses are without a salad, which has to be ordered extra for 3.50 euros. So the sauerbraten comes to 16.60 euros, notice that the dumplings were not fresh! Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant, as the price-performance ratio is not right!

Schäufle, beer and apple strudel were perfect. In addition, attentive and nice service! Here you have to give 5 stars.

Were only there to pick up, but Schäufele and Kloß are super tasty point the staff friendly and accommodating. It would be great if they could come up with a different solution for packing, the whole sauce ran into the bag, even though we had really kept everything straight. But otherwise really top quality food

The Schäufele are very good, but the waitresses are almost passively aggressive and there was too little sauce, as other users have already criticized. We ordered more sauce but it was forgotten. We also sat in the backyard, but it was already dark and there was hardly any lighting, you could hardly see your food

Fast and good service on weekdays. Schäufele very well. A small point of criticism: a side dish (salad or sauerkraut) should be included in the price, because 12.60 Schäufele + portion of sauerkraut 2.60 = 15.20 € is a bit higher priced.

Nice place, very good food!

Mega! Have the main event, the pork shoulder with potato dumpling and make sure you also order a side of sauerkraut. Sample a few fassbeers to help down this perfectly cooked plate of food. You're not finished yet though! Now its time to round it all off with some Dirker Haselnuss liquer. Great service, good for kids as well, excellent weiner schnitzel followed by ice cream and warm berry sauce for them.

Become very expensive .. You have to order all separately separately ... hardly any sauce ... waitress doesn't seem to want to work .. Ate there a second time and it was not good. Overall not good.

Really great restaurant. We only arrived an hour before closing and less than 2 minutes after ordering the food has already arrived. Absolutely delicious food and great service, can only be recommended.

Good, cheap and typical restaurant

Small, cozy and somewhat out of the way, not in the city center, so very decent prices. Good German dishes, large portions and they have great beer. The Sauerbraten was really good!

Discovery. Afther 5 years in Germany i found this unique place in Nueremberg. I am big big pork fan and i tought i tried everything but this Schaufele is a bomb. Restaurant is coozy, stuff extremly friendly and food above expected. Tasty and affordable. Definitely place to visiti if you are around. Top

The restaurant is a little bit out of the center of Nuremberg but it's a must try. The food is amazing and the location is perfect. The restaurant offers tables outside and inside. The beers that they offers are amazing. This is a must visit restaurant of the city.

Not the most friendly place for Asian Visitors. It is with my deepest regret to share my unpleasant experience in this highly regarded local diner. We entered the restaurant for over half an hour and the waiter managing the outdoor seats saw us but decided to ignored us and not even handed us the menu but welcoming and deliver orders to other people that came after us. We decided to leave the restaurant, while at the front door another waiter greeted us with “Ciao”.(I have to clarify maybe he wasn’t aware of the situation, but it has made us even more uncomfortable after what we had experienced) we were and still are very disappointed for this kind of situation still happens.

Down to earth, Franconian food. The sauce of Schaeufelers is really delicious and can be ordered as a look-up. Good quality and good service.

Very satisfied! Small but cozy restaurant, delicious roast pork shoulder and beer! Frequented by locals it is synonymous with excellent local cuisine!

We ordered Schäufele and Sauerbraten, which were delicious. The meat was marinated and cooked properly, very tender and flavourful. The terrace, where we sat was also nice and gave off a chilled vibe. Definitely a recommended place for German food in Nürnberg.

Well that was quite the experience! The food was great, I got the pork shoulder and dumpling. And not expensive, only E9.60. The waiter was really rude but it was somehow unbelievable and funny. For example, I asked for coffee but he refused because I hadn't finished my beer. And he wasn't kidding - I never got it! Lol.

Do dont know how good schaufelle taste like, until you visit this restaurant
